What stands as the College of Commerce of the University of San Agustin at the turn of this century and what it has become now amidst innumerable changes that have taken place in the local and global perspective is a distinct affirmation of the people coming together at a time, of events happening one after the other and of things falling into pieces that allowed the emergence and continued unfolding of a venerable seat of business tiered learning right in the heart of Iloilo City.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Accountancy is a profession that involves providing assurance and audit services for statutory financial reporting, tax-related services partnering in management decision-making, devising planning and performance and control systems and providing expertise in financial reporting and control to assist various stakeholders in making decisions.

Accounting Information Systems is a profession that combines knowledge in business, accounting, and computer systems. It involves partnering with management operations and decision-making, by coordinating the information technology activities, providing expertise in choosing the best software for designing and maintaining the overall information system, and recommending improvements to assist.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Financial Management prepares the graduates for various careers in financial management as well as in related fields, including but not limited to, corporate finance, investment management, banking, credit, trust operations, insurance, foreign currency markets, money markets, and other financial securities markets.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing Management program prepares the graduate for careers in marketing, market research, advertising, and public relations. The curriculum provides the graduate with both technical skills and competencies required in the field, but allows the flexible mindset that is necessary to stay competitive in a constantly changing business environment.

BS Entrepreneurship program will help aspiring entrepreneurs acquire the skills, values, and attitudes that will increase their chances of success. They need to develop products to sell, and many of these products are technology or science-based.

The program is geared towards equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to provide quality service in the hospitality industry.

It is a four-year degree program recommended for students who want to have a career in the field of tourism. This program leads to expertise in the management of tour-operating agencies, as well as other
jobs in the tourism and hospitality sector. It aims to address the need for professionals who can help in promoting the tourism industry in the Philippines.

Internal Auditing is a profession that enhances and protects organizational value by providing stakeholders with risk-based, objective and reliable assurance, advice and insight. It is an independent, objective assurance, and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Management Accounting is a profession that involves partnering in management decision-making, devising planning and performance management systems, and providing expertise in financial reporting and control to assist management in the formulation and implementation of an organization’s strategy.

 

Students pursuing a certificate in the culinary arts participate in classroom instruction and also receive hands-on training in school kitchens. Students learn how food is produced and prepared using various domestic and international techniques.

  • MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
    BUSINESS Policy (BP) is the capstone course in the MBA programs as it integrates the knowledge and skills of the student previously acquired in the foundation courses of marketing, operations, finance, and human behavior in organization.
  • MASTER IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
    A Master of Public Administration (MPA) is a master’s level degree in public affairs that prepares recipients of the degree to serve in executive positions in municipal, state, and federal levels of government, and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
