The Center for Information and Communication Support Services (CICSS) has soft launched “Gus,” its new AI-powered chatbot designed to assist students, faculty, and visitors with frequently asked questions—anytime, anywhere.
Gus, a smart and friendly virtual assistant, is now accessible through the university’s official communication platforms. Users can simply type “Hey Gus!” to start a conversation and receive instant answers to common inquiries related to enrollment, ID processing, office hours, academic schedules, scholarships, and other campus services.
The chatbot was developed to enhance frontline services and reduce waiting times for information. With Gus available 24/7, students no longer need to browse through multiple pages or wait in line to get the answers they need.
“Gus is more than just a bot—it’s an extension of the Augustinian values of service, accessibility, and innovation,” said a Web Developer from the CICSS. “It’s designed to offer support in a way that’s both smart and student-friendly.”
Aside from offering accurate and updated information, Gus reflects the university’s commitment to digital transformation and its ongoing efforts to provide quality support services to its community.
Whether you’re a freshman finding your way or a senior checking on deadlines, Gus is ready to help—just a message away.
Try it now. Simply chat “Hey Gus!” and experience smart support the Augustinian way.
